Hello readers
My passion for reading became a compulsion to write when I attended a ten-week course in creative writing several years ago. I delight in creating short stories of which more than fifty have been published, but it was my lifelong love of Regency romance that led me to turn from contemporary romantic fiction to try my hand at my favourite genre. Raised on a diet of Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer, I’m never happier than when immersed in an age of etiquette and manners, fashion and intrigue, all combined into a romping good tale. That said, and with seven books published in the genre, I have returned to contemporary fiction where the clothes and etiquette are very different but the romance is ever present.
I live on the London/Kent border, close to the capital’s plethora of museums and galleries which I use for research as well as pleasure. A perfect day though is when I head out of town to meet friends at a pub on the river, any river, or a relaxing walk in the country.
I am a member of the Society of Women Writers and Journalists.
